FAQ
Polishing questions
Do I need a one-stage or two-stage polish?
One stage is enough for paint in good condition that is just dull or has light swirl marks. We recommend two stages when swirl marks and light scratches are visible in sunlight: the first stage corrects them and the second polishes the paint to a high gloss. If you're not sure, we'll look at the paint when you drop the car off.
How long does polishing take?
A one-stage polish takes about half a day and a two-stage polish most of the day. The exact time for your vehicle size is in the price list above, and you choose the slot when you book online.
Does polishing remove all scratches?
No. Polishing removes swirl marks, holograms and light scratches in the clear coat. Deeper scratches that go through the clear coat into the colour or primer can't be polished out and need paint repair.
Should the paint be protected after polishing?
We recommend it. Without protection, polished paint is exposed to the same wear as before. A ceramic coating protects it the longest: you'll find polishing with 5-year ceramic protection on the ceramic coating page.
Do you polish cloudy headlights too?
Yes. Headlight polishing removes haze and yellowing from the plastic so the headlights are clear again. You can add it to any booking and then protect the headlights with a ceramic coating.
