1. Who is responsible for your data

The controller of your personal data is the business listed under “Business details” above. For any question or request about your personal data, email info@ren-niv.si or call us.

2. What we collect and why

Booking requests. When you send a booking request we collect your first and last name, email address and phone number, the services you selected, your vehicle size, the requested date and time, and the website language you used. Vehicle brand, model and notes are optional. We use this data to review your request, confirm or decline the appointment, contact you about it and carry out the service. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and performance of the contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Please do not include sensitive information, such as health data, in the notes field.

Emails about your booking. We email you about the status of your request (received, confirmed, declined, completed or cancelled). These are service messages, not marketing. We do not send newsletters or advertising.

Technical data and security. When you visit the site, our hosting provider processes your IP address, browser type and the pages you request in server logs, which are kept for a limited period. To protect the booking form from abuse, our server also briefly keeps your IP address and email address in memory to limit how many requests can be sent; these are not saved to our database. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating a secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

If you contact us by email or phone, we use your details to answer you. Legal basis: Article 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR.

3. What we don't do

  • We do not use analytics or tracking tools.
  • We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or social media plugins.
  • We do not sell your data or share it for marketing.
  • We do not make automated decisions or create profiles about you.

The Facebook and Instagram icons on this site are ordinary links. No data is sent to Meta unless you click them; after that, Meta's own privacy policy applies.

4. Who receives your data

We use the following service providers (processors), who process data only on our behalf and under a data processing agreement:

  • Vercel Inc. (USA) – hosting of this website.
  • Supabase Inc. (USA) – the database that stores booking requests.
  • Resend (USA) – delivery of booking emails.

Because these providers are based in the USA, your data may be transferred outside the European Economic Area. These transfers are protected by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified under it, or otherwise by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

We may also disclose data when the law requires it, for example to a court or a public authority.

5. How long we keep your data

  • Booking requests for appointments that took place: up to 2 years after the appointment, so we can deal with questions or complaints about the work. Then they are deleted.
  • Booking requests that were declined or cancelled: up to 6 months.
  • Invoices and accounting records, where issued: for as long as tax law requires (for example 10 years under the Slovenian VAT Act).
  • Server logs: for the limited period set by our hosting provider.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • have your data deleted;
  • restrict how we process your data;
  • receive your data in a portable format;
  • object to processing based on our legitimate interests.

To use any of these rights, email info@ren-niv.si. We will reply within one month. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.

You also have the right to complain to the supervisory authority: Informacijski pooblaščenec (Information Commissioner of the Republic of Slovenia), Dunajska cesta 22, 1000 Ljubljana, gp.ip@ip-rs.si, www.ip-rs.si. If you live in another EU country, you can also complain to the authority there.

7. Do you have to give us your data?

Your name, email address and phone number are needed to process a booking. Without them we cannot accept your request. Vehicle brand, model and notes are optional.

8. Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Only authorised staff with personal accounts can access booking requests.

9. Cookies

Information about cookies is in our Cookie Policy.

10. Changes to this policy

If the way we process data changes, we will update this page. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
